Community Learning: Parenting Beyond Power
Jen Lumanlan, M.S., M.Ed, host of the Your Parenting Mojo podcast, and author of Parenting Beyond Power will offer a community education event at BlueSkies reconceptualizing the framework of discipline and power between caregivers and their young children. Childcare and pizza dinner provided; please email to RSVP and indicate if you would like childcare.

Family Happy Hour
Join us for a Happy Hour and to learn more about the BlueSkies Community Committee! We will have snacks, fizzy water, beer, and wine available in Copenhagen from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. and we will provide pizza dinner (Nursery School children)/lunch options (Infant Toddler program) for the children who stay. Please RSVP and let us know in your email if you would like your child to stay late for this event.

HedCo Open House
This meeting is a chance to meet other parents in your class group and the HedCo program. It's also an opportunity to see your child's classroom and to learn about the curriculum. You get to hear how Head Teachers individualize their teaching and interaction with each child, and you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the program.
Pizza & childcare will be provided with RSVP. Please email reception. Last day to sign up for child care will be October 1.

Summer Program Starts in Nursery School
Playroom, Homeroom, and Schoolroom children will start the Summer Program. Families in these classrooms will receive more details about this by end of May.

Ladybug Hike
Join us for a Ladybug Hike on Jan. 31st at 10 am! Each year from November through February, thousands, if not millions, of ladybugs converge to Reinhardt Redwood Regional Park and we're going to go see them!
We will meet at the junction of Stream Trail and Prince Trail, starting from the Skyline Gate. It's free parking and a 3 mile loop - check out this article for more details!

Kinder Talk Part 1
The first of our Kindergarten Talk series covers what BlueSkies does to prepare children and readiness for kindergarten and the process of choosing a kindergarten.
Parent Conferences (Nursery School)
Each family will select an hour-long slot in the schedule to meet with the Head Teacher in their classroom to discuss your child’s developmental schedule and progress, and to hear from you about how things are going at home.
