The Playroom

The Playroom experience is the start of the child’s preschool experience at Blueskies for Children.  In all of the preschool children have free access to their classroom yard, porch, bathroom and classroom, throughout the day. All the preschool age children are offered fun age appropriate learning opportunities as they play with others and explore on their own. In all classroom the children explore a variety of activities as their attention span and problem solving and budding social skills increased along with their growing interest in getting along with others. The teacher guides constructive language and skill development in every area of the play curriculum.

In The Classroom

In the Playroom classroom there is a focus on:

  • Independence, (learning to share their teacher with the other children)
  • Learning to manage their body (toilet training, napping, self-serve lunch)
  • Learning to manage rules and social structure to support budding friendships
