Skills Learned While Painting

For some time now teachers have been interested in translating the play seem in their classrooms into the learning that adults can recognize and value.  To do this teachers  document the child’s play by photographing the progression of the play from beginning to end and write out the learning experiences they see the child experiencing. In this way the teacher is making the learning visible for visitors in the classroom.

The following documentation is an example of a child’s learning experience in the art area of the classroom.  The documentation is posted in the public areas of the school for the school community to see.
